Car Boot Sale
I had no idea how much useless crap i had! Me and some girlfriends last Sunday, woke up too early and sold lots of things at a car boot sale. It ended up being a really nice British summers day. I sold all my teddy bears and clothes i didn't want, along with board games and book, generally junk i didn't want anymore that needed a new home. Our neighbors were a couple with a caravan, they were old drama teachers and were selling lots of costumes and the whole Buffy collection. They were so funny and gave use matching straw hats for free, and i bought a beach boys record of them. I had such a nice time but forgot quite a few things so I'll have to do it again sometime soon.
Oh i also bought a bargin priced sewing machine, it's nice a small sized and simple to use, so lots of DIY's will be coming soon.
So I haven't done a post in a while, and I think I have a pretty good excuse, I've had tonsillitis! it was hell. But now I'm all back to normal health again! today i had an options appointment and spent the rest of the day looking a charity shops (I bought a really nice ring) I also bought my first ever Nylon magazine along with Aesthetica (the arts and culture magazine) I don't normally buy magazines but i want to find a good magazine to subscribe to, any ideas?

Yay for car boot sales :) I wish we had them more often here.. I have a whole bunch of junk I wouldn't mind someone giving me a buck to take away :)
ReplyDeleteI see you're in the UK, otherwise I would totally recommend Frankie :) Little Aussie publication (ok, it's pretty epic now) but the costs for international subs is still a bit steep... you can check out their website though. www.frankie.com.au - I even have a link on my blog I love it so much!
Oh and I see you like David Bowie... I'm not the biggest fan of his music but Jareth the Goblin King... *swoon* I love him in tights and a wig :D
Hope you're having a great day! It's Tues morning here and I have the sorest throat - it's been this way for near on two weeks and I should probably not be going to work, but I love my boss too much to bail. Relevance of this last paragraph? Iunno.
Glad you found me coz now I've found you right back! I'm hooked :)

Car boot sales are the best! I actually hate selling at them though as i get so twitchy thinking of all the bargains i'm missing out on at the other stalls!
ReplyDeleteLula is a great mag, but it only comes out twice a year, plus it's hard to track down so you might need to ask your local newsagent to order it in for you x
I love that picture and your blog!
